We all know that as humans, we aren’t perfectly rational beings - our emotions and identity are an important part of who we are and what drives our behaviour, and we often have to rely on imperfect information and develop our own mental shortcuts and associations to make sense of the world. At Affectiv, this understanding is at the heart of what we do, as we know that making assumptions about human behaviour, or relying purely on what some people tell us is going on, will give us the wrong answer.

Affectiv are a new agile consultancy that strives to deliver maximum value for our clients by focussing on what matters most - delivering targeted, tailored advice and evidence using the latest behavioural insights tools and practices.

With over a decade’s experience in social research, behavioural insights and strategy consulting, Affectiv was started to fill a gap in providing a truly multidisciplinary approach to solving common business and public policy challenges - combining behavioural insights and implementation science with the latest research and consulting practices.
In psychology, ‘affect’ relates to how we experience emotions, or the role it plays in shaping our behaviours and attitudes.
Having worked on both sides of the market, as customers and suppliers across both the public and private sector, in Australia and Europe, we know what works and how to tailor a project to best meet your needs. No gold plating, no cutting corners, just the right tools delivered in the most optimal way.

At Affectiv we are all about generating the best insights to improve policies, service delivery, communications and culture. We’ve worked on issues as diverse as tackling misinformation online, improving engagement in services among disadvantaged cohorts, designing and testing communications campaigns, conducting longitudinal surveys to understand user needs and behaviours, and trialing UX improvements to forms and websites.
